ASHLEY M. HEANEY

Ashley Heaney brings over fifteen years of criminal law experience to BK Law Group, with a proven track record of success in defending clients against some of the most serious charges in both state and federal court. Her practice focuses heavily on criminal sexual conduct and child pornography cases, where she has secured numerous favorable
outcomes—including dismissals, charge reductions, and not guilty verdicts—through strategic litigation and aggressive advocacy.

Ashley is admitted to practice in federal courts in Minnesota, New York, and Connecticut, and she leads the firm’s federal criminal defense practice. She has defended individuals in high-stakes cases ranging from felony sex crimes to federal exploitation and pornography charges, earning a reputation for her skillful cross-examinations and motion practice.

Before joining BK Law Group, Ashley spent a decade as an associate at a prominent New York City criminal defense firm and held clerkships at District Attorney offices in both New York and Minnesota. Her diverse background, which includes experience on both sides of the courtroom, allows her to anticipate prosecutorial tactics and build compelling
defenses tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Ashley earned her law degree cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she received the Highest Achievement Awards in Legal Writing and Trial Practice. She also graduated cum laude from Villanova University with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
